Jonathan Shedler, PhD

There is currently a waitlist for teletherapy. I am not accepting new referrals for in-office therapy

I take pride in helping people who have not found the help they need from other professionals. I believe psychotherapy should identify core issues and begin to make a difference from the get-go (see my blog post). If you’ve been disappointed with other treatments, let’s discuss whether I can help.

In-office TherapyOffice

I have recently relocated my practice to San Francisco. I am not accepting new patients for in-office therapy at this time.

I have years of experience providing psychotherapy and executive coaching by videoconference to people whose location, lifestyle, or circumstance make it difficult to attend in-person meetings. I work with English-speaking patients and clients around the world, including people in sensitive and high-profile roles (such as public figures) for whom discretion and privacy are paramount.

Getting the most from teletherapy

  • Online privacy
  • I use secure, encrypted videoconference services suitable for telehealth. Please discuss any concerns about privacy with me, electronic or otherwise.

  • Fees and policies
  • Please contact me for current fees.

I do not participate in insurance networks or file insurance claims. If your health insurance provides out-of-network coverage and you plan to file insurance claims, I will provide billing statements to submit to your insurer.
